November 2011

Dr Carroll attended a Connecticut State Dental Association all day lecture."Know Your Patient's Medications and Their Impact on Dental Treatment!" - Dr. Harold Crossley

Dr Heim attended a 2 day hands-on course at The Greater New York Dental Meeting. "Anatomy of the Masticatory System and Clinical Application" by Dr Henry Gremillion.

October 2011

Val, Beth, Ronna, Dr Heim and his daughter Jocelyn were part of a team of 5 general dentists, 1 oral surgeon, 2  hygienists, 2 nurses and 10 assistants for the 2011 Guatemala Mission Trip.  We provided cleanings, fluoride treatments, hygiene instructions, periodontal scalings, root canals, fillings and extractions for 925 patients in Esquipulos and Guatemala City.

 Dr Heim attended a 3 day seminar sponsored by The New England Masters Study Club entitled "Mastery of Advanced Concepts of the Masticatory System and Occlusion" by Dr. Gregory Tarantola

September 2011

Dr. Heim and Dr Carroll were both recognized as a Glastonbury Top Dentist by Hartford Magazine for   2011.  This is Dr Heim's fifth consecutive recognition and Dr. Carroll's second consecutive recognition . They were chosen from a survey of dental specialists in the Hartford area.

 

August 2011

Dr Carroll was recognized by Connecticut Magazine as one of Connecticut's Top Dentists.

Glastonbury Dentist Receives 2011 Mastership Award from

the Academy of General Dentistry

 

CHICAGO (August 4, 2011)The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), a professional association of more than 37,000 general dentists dedicated to staying up to date in the profession through continuing education to better serve the public, is pleased to announce that Brad A, Heim DMD, MAGD of Glastonbury, CT, received the association’s 2011 Mastership award during the AGD 2011 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, held July 28 to 31 in San Diego, Calif.

 

The Mastership award is the highest honor available at the AGD and one of the most respected designations within the profession. To accomplish this goal, Dr. Heim completed 1,100 hours of continuing dental education.

 

As a recipient of the Mastership award, Dr. Brad Heim joins more than 2,200 active AGD Masters who understand that providing great smiles and good oral health for their patients are the result of going above and beyond basic requirements.

 

“We are proud to honor Dr. Heim for his commitment to provide the highest quality of oral care to their patients,” says AGD President Howard Gamble, DMD, FAGD. “There are more than 160,000 general dentists in the United States and Canada and less than two percent of those are Masters with the AGD. It’s a remarkable accomplishment for Dr. Heim.”

 

Dr. Heim graduated from The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1985 and currently practices dentistry in Glastonbury, CT. In addition to his Mastership in the AGD, Dr. Heim is a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of Laser Dentistry, Connecticut State Dental Association and Hartford Dental Society.

May 2011

Dr Heim was inducted as a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy at the Connecticut State Dental Convention.  The Academy is an International Honor Dental Organization whose members are distinguished for their contributions to the dental profession and public service to the general community.

Dr Heim and Beth participated in the Mission of Mercy, a 100 chair portable dental clinic providing care to a thousand patients a day in Waterbury CT.

 January 2011

Dr David Purviance and his assistant Sharon have become a part of our dental team. 

Dr Purviance moved his practice from 1898 Manchester Road in Glastonbury to our downtown location at 36 Welles Street.  He will be working 2 days a week in our office and we welcome all his patients.
