March 2010
Dr. Heim and Dr Carroll attended a full day Connecticut State Dental Association sponsored seminar on complete dentures.
Dr Heim attended a 3 day seminar on fixed prosthetics. The training is through the New England Mastertrack program to prepare Dr. Heim for his Master's Degree with the Academy of General Dentistry. This date conflicted with the Mission of Mercy in Middletown CT, but he hopes to continue in the tradition of attending these events.

Dr. Heim, Dr Carroll, Sharon, Michelle and Beth attended a full day Connecticut State Dental Association sponsored seminar “Contemporary Clinical Periodontics: Update in Diagnosis and Treatment Planning” – Dr. Jon B. Suzuki
Dr Heim attended 2 days of seminars on TMJ and porcelain crowns at the Yankee Dental Meeting in Boston

Dr. Carroll and Dr. Heim attended a Implant seminar taught by Dr James Ruskin from The University of Florida
November 2009
Dr. Carroll and Dr. Heim attended a Connecticut State Dental Association sponsored seminar: Treatment Planning for Dental Implants. It was taught by Dr. Carl Misch, one of the most respected authorities on Dental Implants.
Dr. Heim attended 2 days of lecture on TMJ disorders, facial pain and sleep apnea at The Greater New York Dental Meeting.
October 2009
Our entire staff attened a full day seminar on practice management sponsored by the Connecticut State Dental Association.
Dr Heim attended a 3 day seminar on TMJ disorders and facial pain. The training is through the New England Mastertrack program to prepare Dr. Heim for his Master's Degree with the Academy of General Dentistry.
Val, Ronna, Dr. Heim and his daughter Jocelyn Heim RN went on a mission trip to Guatemala. They were accompanied by 2 other dentists, and several assistants. They performed over 400 procedures including cleanings, fillings and extractions at the soup kitchen where they have set up a temporary dental clinic for several years.
It was good to see improvements in the health of some of the children we have been treating each year. About 10% of them did not need fillings or extractions this year. This is a credit to our preventative efforts including education, fluoride treatments and distributing toothbrushes and toothpaste.
September 2009
Dr. Carroll and Dr. Heim attended a Connecticut State Dental Association sponsored seminar in dental materials. They learned about the latest bonding technology available to dentistry.
Dr. Heim was recognized as one of Glastonbury's Top Dentists 2009 by Hartford Magazine. This is his third consecutive recognition. He was chosen from a survey of dental specialists in the Hartford area.
May 2009
Dr. Heim attended a Connecticut State Dental Association sponsored hands-on course in laser dentistry.
April 2009
Dr. Carroll completed a 3 day hands-on training course on advanced bone grafting just outside of Boston, MA.
Beth, Dr. Heim and his wife Heidi Heim RN volunteered their time and talents at Connecticut Mission of Mercy. Approximately 1850 needy patients were provided dental treatment at no cost during this 2 day event in New Haven CT. This is the second year we have participated in this event.

Dr. Heim and Dr.Carroll attended a Connecticut State Dental Association sponsored seminar on Pedodontics
Our entire office staff attended a half-day seminar in their Glastonbury, CT office with Total Compliance Solutions to keep our office up to date with the latest safety requirements. After lunch the training continued with CPR certification.
Dr Heim attended a 3 day seminar on oral surgery. The training is through the New England Mastertrack program to prepare Dr. Heim for his Master's Degree with the Academy of General Dentistry.
